I go to the T-Rock for the delicious bar food, for either dinner or brunch!
The Mother-biker for brunch or the Vegan BBQ Poboy for dinner. Great flavor and generous portions. Mmmm tots.
Food for those that want meat and for vegetarians and vegans. Check it out!
Their food is excellent and very well priced. Their beer is also great, but priced quite high (typical prices for the city). Their table service is surprisingly good. If you're going for a show, the venue is pretty small so you will definitely see the bands, if not meet them.
Great food (the Po'Boy portion size is ridiculously awesome). Great happy hour specials and intimate venue to see a show.
a West Bank must-see. the Old Bar is great for brunch on weekends and food at any time of the day during the week. friendly staff will tell you all about the music their playing. the Showroom is one of the best in Minneapolis, an intimate pit and then a few levels up, the bar and more sight lines. Get intimate with a great band, check the website for shows. Highly recommended!
Breakfast at 11:00. What you want is amazing food and a Bloody Mary. So thankful that we were able to find the Triple Rock Social Club to deliver just this. Atmosphere of the bar is cool and the music was great. We both ordered biscuits and gravy ... and were in complete food heaven. Staff was really friendly and we can't wait to come back and check out the scene in the evening.
Its a no-frills kind of place. Ive been going for years. They get good acts and they don't charge an insane amount for tickets. Their drinks are strong and their bartenders are surly. Its just what you want your rock and or roll club to be like!
I haven't spent a lot of time in the bar, but I have gone to dozens of shows here. It's loud, dark, and a lot of fun. It's like a rock venue you would see in movies, but much cleaner. Don't be afraid to go to a show here, you'll enjoy yourself.
OK, so it's new years, and I can't blame them for having a not great dj because that's just what got booked, but that is no excuse for the INCREDIBLY slow bar service. Seriously, it's new years, and you have nothing but what I assume are brand new bartenders?!? You have 2 bars and I still waited 15 min to be served a drink?! Triple rock has a good reputation so maybe I just expected more, but I honestly have never had such horrible bar service. Maybe it's a good bar if there isn't a big crowd...?
I saw Tau Cross on the 29th of March. Unfortunately, the venue was double booked so the show didn't start on time and ended around 2pm. However, security and the folks running Triple Rock did an outstanding job providing a venue with great sound and musical ambiance. I also like how there is a counter top setup surrounding the floor and stage below. Great band, great folks, and a killer establishment.
The triple rock is an institution in the mpls scene. If you haven't been get there now. Great local beer selection as well. The mix for the music never seems as good as it could be, but it's a great small club to see a show and get close to your rock hero of choice.
